What permits are required for the Makalu Base Camp trek?

Trekkers need to obtain several permits for the Makalu Base Camp trek, including the Makalu Barun National Park entry permit and the TIMS (Trekkers’ Information Management System) card. Additionally, a restricted area permit is required since the trail passes through areas close to the Nepal-Tibet border.
