Kathmandu (Arrival) – Transfer to Hotel (Private Transfer)

Upon arrival in Kathmandu, the capital city of Nepal, our representative will be waiting at the airport for your welcome. Then board a private vehicle and be transferred to your hotel. Check into your hotel and rest after your journey. Guide briefs about the Helambu Trek.

Depending on your arrival time, you may have the opportunity to explore ancient temples and vibrant markets and experience the unique atmosphere of Nepalese urban life.

02

Kathmandu – Sundarijal (Drive – Private Transfer) – Chisapani

You will start your journey towards Sundarjial after having breakfast at the hotel. The ride takes around 1 hour to reach Sundarijal, from where you will start your trek towards Chisapani. From Sundarijal, you will trek on the trail, which takes you through the dense forest of Shivapuri National Park.

After a few hours of trekking, you will reach a small Tamang settlement, Muklhara, and then walk by the ridge and through a dense forest of rhododendrons and oaks until you reach Chisapani.

Chisapani – Khutumsang

You will start your day with a magnificent sunrise from the Chisapani viewpoint, and after breakfast, you will start your trek, passing by several meadows and terraced fields while enjoying the stunning views of the Langtang mountain range.

Then, you will descend from the ridge to reach Pathi Bhanjyang, a small settlement, and trek to Gul Bhanjyang, passing via a pass after ascending a hill to reach Kutumsang.

Khutumsang – Tharepati

Leaving Khutumsang behind, you will head north to get beautiful views of the snow-peaked. As you climb up the steep trail, you will walk through the forest of fir and rhododendron. The dense jungle with blooming rhododendrons has no settlements until you reach Yurin Danda, where you will get magnificent views of the mountains. After a few hours of hiking to a meadow with fabulous mountain views, you will reach Tharepati.

Tharepati – Tarke Ghangyul

After breakfast, you will trek to Tarke Ghangyul, which offers an opportunity to observe diverse cultures and lifestyles. On the way, you’ll visit sacred Buddhist stupas, shrines, and monasteries visited by Guru Rinpoche. Then there is a village that is home to Sherpas, who are similar to those in Solu Khumbu.

The Helambu Trek then heads up to Tarke Ghyang, passing through Sherpa settlements and enjoying views of Himalayan peaks. Tarke Ghyang is home to an ancient monastery and is known as Helambu, referring to a collection of Tamang and Sherpa villages.

Tarke Ghangyul – Sermanthang

You will hike through dense forest, streams, and waterfalls to reach Sermanthang. On the way, you will also cross many tiny villages between Parachin and the Sherpa village of Gangyul. After a few hours of hiking, you will reach Sermanthang, a beautiful village with quite a few Buddhist monasteries.

Sermanthang – Melamchi Bazar – Kathmandu (Drive – Private Transfer)

After breakfast, you will hike down to Melamchi Bazar, passing through terraced farms, a small village, and the Melamchi River. After you arrive at Melamchi Bazar, you will board the private vehicle and then drive towards Kathmandu. You will have a scenic ride following the Melamchi River and pleasant views of the natural beauty.
